Imogen is a performance maker, facilitator and coach based in Derbyshire.

Her artistic practice is interdisciplinary spanning live performance, movement and theatre. Her work is playful and fun and is made in collaboration with the people she is working with. Participation is at the heart of everything she does.

Imogen is a highly experienced artist facilitator having spent the last 30 years making theatre with people in community and theatre settings. She delivers ongoing projects alongside specific commissions to co create work with others. Her work is accessible and joyful and she holds onto the idea that theatre can change lives in the way it changed hers. Imogen creates safe spaces where everyone can be themselves and where people can experiment together.

She works in theatres and contemporary arts spaces, in mainstream education, out of school, in care homes, in specific geographical areas, in prisons and universities. She has worked with the Royal Exchange Theatre (Manchester), Forced Entertainment (Sheffield), Clean Break (London), The Level Centre (Derbyshire) and Sheffield Theatres. She has created work which has been performed outside the National Theatre (Sweatbox), inside the Donmar Warehouse (Frientimacy) and at Latitude Festival (Meal Ticket). More recently she co created an R&D of Local with maker Liz Richardson and has worked with the S2 Women’s group creating two performances for Sheffield Theatres (Our Centre and The Fantasy Project). She is in receipt of an Arts Council grant to look at the relationship between experimental practices and participation and is developing Dry Bits, a one woman show about menopausal rage.

Alongside her artistic practice Imogen is an accredited coach and runs her own creative coaching business offering one to one sessions at the Treatment Space in Derbyshire, online, by phone or through ‘walk and talk’ sessions in the beautiful Peak District National Park.
